Mommy Guilt!

When my first daughter was born both my mother and my mother-in-law gave me the same advice:  Keep a baby book.  Write down the cute things.  If you don't write it down you'll forget it!!!  Although I had the best of intentions, I had no idea that parenting Eliana would leave me too exhausted for little more than basic survival.  The adorable baby book my mom purchased while I was in the hospital remained blank.  Now that Eliana is a toddler, and has been joined by baby Leah, the guilt has been multiplied!

This blog will serve a few purposes:  A place for me to capture the sweet moments and funny things that I'm blessed to experience each day I am home with my girls.  A place I can point my girls to when they're older and ask, "where's my baby book!?"  And, a place for friends and family members to share in the growth, daily life, and cute pictures of Leah and Eliana.  (Which should make the grandparents especially happy!)   And, while I am sure that I will still have plenty of Mommy Guilt for a million other reasons, I'll no longer have guilt about not keeping a record of these precious memories!
